Patrick is passionate about quality journalism and that is sadly under attack at present across all media at all levels as publishers seek ways to stay in business as we pay less for publications and spent on days latching on to ‘clickbait’ in social media.

Even in the ‘quality press’ these days you often see terribly inaccurate stories on winter sports written by people with no knowledge of the industry who have perhaps just been on a free holiday.

It’s frustrating to think that most people reading won’t know they’re reading rubbish.

Over the years however, a lot of great winter sports travel journalists have emerged who really do know their stuff and are all excellent writers.
