Patrick was one of the first to see the internet as a means of delivering ski news stories and wrote reports for the first online ski sites in the late 1990s before launching his own year-round weekly news feed by email which is still running after nearly two decades and 10,000 stories at the rate of 10 new stories a week, every week, year round.
Leading ski industry figures from around the world subscribe to the service and it has been sponsored for many years by the world’s leading ski lift company, Doppelmayr.
Patrick works for a number of websites supplying news content and of course works increasingly in social media too.
Unlike many writers, Patrick works seven days a week and has the knowledge of issues to be able to put a breaking story in context.
